Where to Watch Ind vs Eng 3rd Test Match Live
After registering a historic win at the Lords, India is all set to lock horns with England in the third test match. With a phenomenal victory at the Home of Cricket, the Indian team is high on confidence and certainly wants to extend their lead in the third test. On the other hand, England will have to fight hard to give a tough competition to India, and captain Root is leading from the front with back to back centuries. The third match of the five-match test series will be played at Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds.
The first test at Nottingham was called off due to rain on day 5. While both the teams competed toe-to-toe, the weather played a spoilsport, and both teams shared four points. India had an edge on day five, but cricket is a game of uncertainty, and this time it was the weather that ruined Indian hopes.
The second test at Lords was an edge-of-the-seat thriller, with India claiming a fine win that will be remembered for a long time. India scripted a significant victory by 151 runs in the second test at Lords. Indian pacers dominated day four and day 5 with bat and ball. A brilliant half-century from Mohammed Shami and a decent partnership with Bumrah towards the end of day 4 gave a respectable total to India. Cricket pundits have applauded both Shami and Bumrah for their discipline and character with the bat.
Earlier, KL Rahul got off to a flier with a brilliant Century with 12 boundaries and a six. Rahul is the only tenth Indian player to score a Test century at Lords. In response to India’s first innings score of 364, England scored 391, thanks to captain Joe Root 180 not out. Chasing a decent target of India’s 272, England was blown at the mighty Indian pace and couldn’t sustain Siraj and Bumrah’s dominance on the final day. India created history at the Lords and took the lead to 1-0, and continue to carry the momentum in the third test match as well.
