The Qualifier 1 is between two of the best teams this season and only one of them will have a smooth road to finale. The match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals starts at 7:30 PM IST in the Dubai International Stadium.
Both MI and DC have impressed with their performances in all the games and managed to top the table with 18 and 16 points respectively. They will now look to squash each other and be on their way to finale. There is a lot to look forward to in this clash between these two power-packed sides.
The teams met twice in the season but MI emerged victorious both the times and will look to win this high-stake clash, while DC will look to settle the scores by winning this important match.
Mumbai Indians: MI will walk into this game with a heart-breaking loss and will look to channel the energy into this match. Rohit Sharma, the captain, is back after a break and might be eager to hit big like his name (Hitman) suggests. Quinton de Kock, the leading run-scorer of the team with 443 runs to his name will be out hungry for more. Ishan Kishan, Surya Kumar, Hardik Pandya, and Kieron Pollard are the best players on the team and have never failed to deliver.
The bowling unit consists of terrific bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah (23 wickets), Trent Boult (20 wickets), Deepak Chahar (15 wickets). When they have their hands around a ball, they make sure to put up a fine show against DC.
Delhi Capitals: DC has looked like it has run out of the steam by losing 4 of its last 5 encounters but this is IPL and anything is possible. Shreyas Iyer, who has been nothing but amazing as a captain, has also impressed with the bat by scoring 421 runs in the league matches. Shikhar Dhawan, the leading run-getter of the team has 2 centuries and 3 half-centuries to his name and will be out for another fine outing. Along with the likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Prithvi Shaw, the team has a lot of potential.
Kagiso Rabada, the leading wicket-taker this season with 25 wickets to his name, is to watch out for and Anrich Nortje, who has picked 19 wickets is one to rely on and the team will expect him to continue his good bowling form against MI.
Looking at all these stats, we can expect a fiery contest.
