IPL 2020 DC to take on MI followed by a clash between RCB and SRH
Two days! Two games! IPL weekends are undoubtedly the best! Match 51 sees the Delhi Capitals go up against the table topper team, Mumbai Indians. The clash starts at 3:30 PM IST in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, followed by a battle between the teams from the South. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad will lock horns in the Sharjah Cricket Stadium at 7:30 PM IST.
First Clash: DC vs MI
DC who is on a 3-match losing streak will look to win this important match and reclaim its place on the top of the table. MI, who has qualified for the play offs, will ride into the game on the back of an amazing victory against RCB.
Shikhar Dhawan, the leading run-getter of the team with 471 runs to his name had scored more than a half century in the last game against MI and might be impactful in this clash. Shreyas Iyer, the captain, has made 389 runs in the season so far and will look to add more on the scoreboard. Kagiso Rabada, who has scalped 23 wickets this season is leading the ‘Most wickets’ chart and might be a player to watch out for. Though DC has lost three battles consequently, it is possible that the team might bounce back to jump back to the top.
Surya Kumar Yadav’s heroics won them 2 points in the last outing against RCB and he will look to repeat the match-winning run in this match. Quinton de Kock, the highest run-scorer for the team, has 392 runs against his name and will look to have another fine outing with the bat today. Another big-hitter on the team, Keiron Pollard, finds it easy to send the ball flying out of the park. Jasprit Bumrah, the spearhead of the bowling attack might restrict DC to a low score. MI is on a high with their last victory over RCB but due to its inconsistent performance over time, it might be treading carefully to secure a victory.
This makes it harder for the DC team to fight back but this is cricket and one never knows what might happen.
Second Clash: RCB vs SRH
Despite the two successive losses in its last two outings, RCB is second on the points table, thanks to a positive NRR. SRH, on the other hand, is coming off a victory against DC. These teams had faced off in the match 3 of the season, where RCB had won by 10 runs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore:
No ground is big enough for the Kohli-AB duo. Virat Kohli aka the run machine, the captain of RCB, has scored the highest number of runs (424 runs) for the team and might be out on another good outing tonight. Devdutt Padikkal and AB de Villiers are two potential batsmen that are known for hitting big runs and will be impactful in the game tonight. Yuzvendra Chahal and Chris Morris have been putting a good show with the ball and will be striving hard for a victory.
SRH will look to repeat the same performance as their last game against DC. David Warner, the live-wire captain of the team has scored 436 runs so far and will be looking to put up a big score. Manish Pandey, who has scored 354 runs for the team will once again be crucial to SRH’s fortune in this match. Rashid Khan, the star bowler, who has picked up 17 wickets so far and will be someone that SRH will bank on against RCB tonight.
Since SRH currently has only 10 points in its pocket, it is hard for the team to secure a place in the playoffs, but miracles happen all the time in the game of cricket especially in IPL. With that in mind, if SRH manages to secure a victory with a significant margin, it’s chances of getting into the playoffs might still be alive.
