India vs New Zealand Semi Final to be played on reserve day
Rain stopped the match on Tuesday between India and New Zealand at Manchester. The first semi final will resume on the reserve day i.e on 10th July.
By the time match was stopped New Zealand were 211 for 5 after 46.1 overs with Ross Taylor and Tom Latham scoring 67 and 3 respectively. Indian bowlers performed well and been successful so far in restricting New Zealand to 211.
If weather permits New Zealand will complete their 1st innings on reserve day. if things goes south and if India didn’t get to play then they will qualify for the world cup finals as they had finished top on the table.
Those who bought the tickets for 1st semi final are advised to keep their tickets to regain the entry on reserve day. It is also said that you can not sell your tickets to others in case of your absence.
This is the second time time that rain had interrupted the play during India, New Zealand matches in world cup 2019. Initially during group stage, the match between India and New Zealand was stopped without a ball being bowled. Now again on India vs New Zealand semi-final rain forced the match to shift on to reserve day.
