Dream 11 IPL Battle 15: It’s RR vs RCB

IPL 2020 is all about entertainment and with two IPL matches on the same day, the thrill is double the usual. The first afternoon match of the season is between RCB and RR at 3:30 PM IST in the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. This is RCB’s first game in this stadium.

Both Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore have 2 wins in the 3 games they have played this season, but their conditions are different. RR are coming from a Super over win against MI and RCB have faced a loss in their previous match against KKR. To stay at the top, both the teams will look to win this afternoon match.

These teams have faced each other 21 times, out of which 3 led to no result, but RCB has an upper hand with 10 wins. Both the teams have equally potent players and given the unpredictability of this season, only time will tell who will win.

For RR, Sanju Samson, has 167 runs so far and his strike rate (201.20) is the best among the top five highest run scoring players. Steve Smith, the captain, doesn’t waste any time to start firing the balls and has made 122 runs. Rahul Tewatia, the new hero and Tom Curran have been extremely impressive in their games.

They do have good bowlers in their team and can give the RCB batsmen, a difficult time. Rahul Tewatia has taken 4 wickets effortlessly, Ankit Rajpoot is just one wicket away from the “100” milestone. Jofra Archer and Tom Curran have taken 3 wickets each. Shreyas Gopal, in previous seasons, has dismissed Kohli 3 times and AB de Villiers 4 times.

RCB, a team that has the most popular batting order, will look forward to win. Most of the runs the team has scored, have been because of the openers. Aaron Finch (101 runs) is the only player in the season till now who hasn’t been dismissed in the powerplay. AB de Villiers seems to be carrying the responsibility of scoring runs (134 runs) with a strike rate of 186.11. Devdutt Padikkal, the young-STAR, has made 111 runs and has already impressed us.

Coming to their bowling unit, RCB have Yuzvendra Chahal, who has taken 5 wickets this season, leads the bowling attack. Shivam Dube has a good 4 wickets to his name, and both Navdeep Saini Irusu Udana have taken 2 wickets each.

Which “Royals” will taste victory and who will lose?
