BCCI invites “Expressions of Interest” for IPL 2020 Title Sponsorship Rights scheduled in UAE
BCCI has issued a Media Advisory for Expressions of Interest for IPL 2020 scheduled to happen in UAE in September. The rights are issued to the right bidder whose turnover is over INR 300 Crore as per the latest audited accounts. These rights will be valid from August 18th to December 31st, 2020. The due date for submission is till 5 PM IST, 14th of August 2020.
BCCI filters the shortlisted parties who are required to submit the final bid and will notify them through the mail. Upon receiving a mail from BCCI, the interested parties must submit their final bid through email to email@example.com between 11 AM and 1 PM on August 18th, 2020. It has been made clear by BCCI that marketing agencies/ agents cannot enter the bid.
Among the many competitors that are bidding for the rights, one name that came forward is Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved. An official from the company has informed the news agency that Patanjali Ayurved is considering to bid for the title sponsorship of the upcoming IPL tournament.
IPL 2020 Updates
After postponing IPL 2020 that was supposed to happen in March, BCCI had organized the Cash Rich League in UAE from September 19th to November 10th, 2020. The final match of the tournament was scheduled on a weekday for the first time in the history of the tournament. The matches will take place across three venues in the country namely Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Dubai.
According to Recent News Indian players including MS Dhoni has undergone the mandatory COVID-19 Test. The test results will be out today and upon receiving the results, MS Dhoni along with CSK player Monu Kumar Singh are expected to leave for the 5-Day IPL Camp organized in Chennai. CSK Team is scheduled to leave for UAE on 21st August.
